About Me

We are Stefanie, Sabine, Evelin, Nadine, Tina and Celia, the six trainees from Switzerland Tourism. Trainees on Tour is a project launched by us to introduce the Grand Tour of Switzerland to our generation (the 20-30 year olds). In two groups we went out to discover the most beautiful places, to find exciting and fun activities, to spot top hotels and restaurants, and much much more. Stefanie, Sabine and Evelin covered the parts of western Switzerland and focused their activities on culture and culinary travel. Nadine, Tina and Celia ventured out to eastern and southern Switzerland to get off the beaten track and to be active in the region's pristine nature. Arriving in Zermatt

After a long drive, we finally arrived at Täsch at midnight. As you may know, Zermatt is a car-free town. So first problem to solve: find a parkplace for Paul & Paula as we couldn't park in a underground parking.
Finally we found a place and got the train at 1 am!
Tired but happy to be here.

The train going up to Zermatt.
Then we walked to the youth hostel (about 15-20 minutes walk from the train station). As it was the first time in Zermatt for Evelin, she proclamed looking up to the black spot in the landscape "WOW that's the Matterhorn!"

The church of Zermatt by night.

After a little shower in the youth hostel, we just fell asleep. But only for a few hours. Because tomorrow will be a though day!
