Even though Chur cannot be called a city it's a mountain town with many students and therefore, a busy nightlife. There are many different bars that cater to all tastes.
Chur is a charming town with many nice town squares and spots.

Arcas, Chur in the afternoon
|
Upon arrival in Chur we checked in at the VIVA Hostel and claimed our beds in the 18-bed dorm room. We chose our bed in the little corner by the window where it was more quite and we had a little private space. The hostel is managed by Simri, a member of the famous Swiss band "7
7 Bombay Street". Conveniently located in the center of Chur next to all bars, the hostel even has it's own club. After a long shower (the first one in two days!!) we went out for a well earned and refreshing afternoon drink in Chur.

Hungry from our cycling tour we decided to grab a falafel in the center of Chur at
Valentinos Lebanese Food & Bar. And believe us, it was the best falafel that we ever had!

After dinner we finally started our bar crawl and visited the cute little "Barbar", Tom's beer box with a selection of many different beers from around the world and the "Schall und Rauch", a former blacksmith shop, where you get the best cocktails in town.

Back in the hostel we crashed in our bunk beds and were more than happy about the provided ear protection as some people were still partying in the street. We all slept surprisingly well and woke up hungry to enjoy the breakfast. We would definitely recommend the hostel to everyone who travels to Chur on a budget.
