We started our roadtrip in Wittenbach near St. Gallen. In the garden of
Gerold Huber there are more than a dozen of mobile homes - always a caravan and a matching car. We've chosen Paul and Paula. A Fiat500-Cabrio and a caravan from the 60 sixties were our loyal companions during the whole journey.
Hello Paul and Paula
The first evening we spent in St. Gallen. We went to the
Focacceria - an Italian restaurant where you have to chose if you wanna eat a delicious dish as pasta or salads or fill your Focaccia individually with tasty antipasti from the buffet. As dessert we ordered a Toblerone mousse (chocolate mousse) and a yummy apricot-chocolate cake. We were especially bowled over by the latter. Also if you don't like fruits. Or the combination of apricots with chocolate. But this delicious cake was just phenomenal. After dinner we checked out the bars in St. Gallen and can recommend you the
Oya - a cozy place where you can find Scandinavian specialities, homemade ice tea and other goodies.

The next morning, we drove to the
3 Weieren above St. Gallen. These 3 little lakes are the perfect place to bath on hot sunny days or chill in the evening. We unpacked our breakfast and enjoyed this nice location. In the first lake (Manne-Weiher) it is possible to swim for free. The second lake in the middle (Buben-Weiher) is nice to visit but there are too many plants in it for taking a bath. The third lake (Frauen-Weiher) offers a public pool (one for everybody and one especially for women). Here you have to pay entrance fees.
